Development stories
How did you come up with this idea?
Hmmm actually...this is kind of impulsively developed game, haha. Why?

Our coder--hipon once challenged me to do speed-gamedev, like a week or two. Then he wanted to make a simple game which is easy to make, also he want a "fast-paced game like Sonic or Nights". Then, i impulsively (like always, lol) came up with "collecting","endless",and "timing" idea. I texted him some idea and he interested, so we planned to develop this concept. Not to mention that we have already involved with Trinity Sofia (codename: Plato) project. lol!

Maybe you have figured which game inspired us for the scoring & endless system, everyone knows Canabalt, right? Yes, somehow this is our reference for this genre, but i think we gave enough gameplay twists to make Pixle original, and of course fun! :D

Visual designs inspiration?
My idea was silhouette, inspired by Skinny's style. My first priority was simple things to make, so it won't waste my time on sprites. First come in mind is just a black dot, like in third pic below, second pic is cat-like creature with a bat wings, then for third form, i remembered i do have a sketch of random drawing who might fit this.

Even though graphical assets done in days, firstly, we really thought this game could be done within some weeks, but apparently, coding-wise, making endless game was not as easy as we think. Audio assets was not ready at the moment too. We ended up wrapping up this game in a month.

Pixle? What the hell is that?
i think it could be kind of race, or maybe its name. haha it was just from a "pixie" word. i wanted a title which is easy to pronounce and short. Pixle pronounced like "pixel" (from pixel art or such) which many people has already talked, pronounced in ages. Then we googled "pixle" to find whether it's a unique name or not. lol.

Okay this concludes this blog entry, thanks for visiting our site and reading. We wish we won't slack to blog anymore (muhahaha), but more importantly, we want to keep being a productive game developer. Best regards for all, from stellar-0 and cheers! ^ ^/
